Question: Likely a miscommunication, but a contractor was advised that the NEC prohibited radiant floor heat matting in a walk in closet. I can find no such prohibition. Am I overlooking a use not permitted ?(It would actually be an extension of the bath floor into a area used as a closet)
You are correct. There is no such prohibition in the NEC. Radiant floor heat matting is permitted in walk-in closets as long as it is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Flag for review
