Question: do we have a answer sheet for the questions in that textbook? I reviewed all of the calculation mathematical part of the textbook and I looked through the table of contents. I couldn’t find it. I looked in the back of the book I couldn’t find any.
Okay, I understand. You're looking for an answer key or solution manual for a textbook, specifically for the calculation-based mathematical problems, and you've checked both the table of contents and the back of the book without success. Here's a breakdown of why you might not be finding it and what options you have: Not all textbooks include answer keys
It's very common for textbooks not to include full answer keys, especially for more advanced or higher-level math courses. Publishers often provide answer keys only to instructors (professors, teachers) as part of an instructor's edition or separate solutions manual. This is done to prevent students from simply looking up answers without working through the problems.
Instructor's Edition or Solutions Manual
The most likely place to find the answers is in a separate Solutions Manual or an Instructor's Edition of the textbook. These are typically distributed to teachers and professors. These manuals usually contain complete worked-out solutions for all or most of the problems.
Partial Answers Only
Some textbooks include answers to selected problems, often just the odd-numbered ones. This allows students to check their understanding on some problems while still requiring them to work through others independently.
Online Resources
Publisher's Website
Check the textbook publisher's website. They might have supplementary materials available for students, such as practice quizzes, tutorials, or (less likely, but worth a try) a limited answer key.
Course Website/LMS
If you are using the textbook for a course, check your course's website (on platforms like Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc.). Your instructor may have posted answer keys or solutions to specific problems.
Online Forums/Tutoring Sites
Websites like Chegg, Slader (now Quizlet), or similar platforms sometimes have student-submitted solutions to textbook problems. Use these with caution. The solutions may not always be accurate or complete, and it's better to use them to check your work after you've tried to solve the problem yourself.
YouTube
Search on YouTube. Someone may have worked out solutions to problems from your textbook, especially for common textbooks in popular courses.
How to Find the Answer Key/Solutions Manual (If Available)
Identify the Exact Textbook
Make sure you have the exact title, edition, and ISBN of your textbook. This is crucial because solutions manuals are specific to each edition.2.
Search Online
Search for "[Textbook Title] [Edition] Solutions Manual" or "[Textbook Title] [Edition] Answer Key". Include the ISBN if you have it.3.
Check with Your Instructor
The best approach is to ask your instructor directly if a solutions manual is available and if they are willing to share it (or portions of it) with the class.4.
University Bookstore
Sometimes university or college bookstores sell solutions manuals separately.
Important Considerations
Ethical Use
Remember that the purpose of doing textbook problems is to learn the material. Simply copying answers from a solutions manual defeats the purpose of the exercise. Use it as a tool to check your work and understand where you went wrong, not as a shortcut to avoid doing the work.*
Accuracy: Be aware that even solutions manuals can contain errors. Double-check the solutions carefully and compare them to your own work.Good luck in your search! I hope you find what you're looking for. Flag for review
