Question: Hello,New to the site here so I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this here..I have a refurbished Square D 2000 amp commercial circuit breaker that I'd like to sell to someone interested. It's in perfect working condition. I am located in Phoenix, AZ and shipping would have to be paid for. The model number of this breaker is PAF2036PL.Thank you for all inquiries.
You're not violating any rules by inquiring, but this isn't really a classified ad section. This is a question-and-answer forum for information and advice. You're better off trying these avenues: eBay
This is a popular place to sell electrical equipment. Make sure you take high-quality pictures and provide a detailed description.
Craigslist
A local option. You can specify local pickup to avoid shipping.
Specialized electrical equipment marketplaces
Search online for websites that specialize in buying and selling used or refurbished electrical equipment.
Electrical contractors
Contact local electrical contractors. They might be interested in buying it for a project or have clients who need one.
Industrial supply companies
Some industrial supply companies buy used equipment.
Online forums dedicated to electrical work or construction
Look for forums where electricians and contractors frequent. You might be able to post there, but be sure to check the forum's rules regarding selling items first.
Important Considerations
Pricing
Research the price of similar breakers to determine a fair price. Consider the condition (refurbished), the market demand, and how quickly you want to sell it.
Warranty
Since it's refurbished, consider offering a short warranty to increase buyer confidence.
Testing reports
If you have any testing reports from the refurbishment process, include those with the sale. This can help prove it's in working order.
Safety
Emphasize that this breaker should be installed by a qualified electrician. This is critical for liability reasons.
Liability
Be mindful of liability. Clearly state in your sales agreement that you are not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from improper installation or use of the breaker. Consult with legal counsel to ensure your sales agreement is adequate for your needs.
Payment
Be wary of scams. Use a secure payment method like PayPal (for Goods & Services, not Friends & Family) or an escrow service, especially if dealing with a buyer you don't know.
Shipping: 2000 amp breakers are HEAVY. Get quotes for freight shipping before* listing the item for sale. You'll need accurate weight and dimensions to provide to shipping companies. Consider having it professionally packaged.Good luck with the sale! Flag for review
