Question: discussion at work what is the needed work space infront of a temp control panel one panel has a 120v feed with 5 amp fuse the other just has a 120v feed to the transformer are these required to meet the 110.26(a) requirements or not. I say yes specialy for the panel with the 5amp fuse but not sure any input would be great thanks

According to NFPA 70E 110.26(a)

> Electrical equipment shall be installed in a manner that electrical work can be safely performed without removing energized parts or exposing persons to contact with energized parts.

Panel with 120V Feed and 5 Amp Fuse

This panel has a disconnect device (fuse) that can be used to isolate the circuit from the power source. Therefore, it meets the requirement to allow safe work without exposing personnel to energized parts.

Yes, the workspace in front of this panel must meet the requirements of 110.26(a).
Panel with 120V Feed to Transformer

This panel does not have a disconnect device to isolate the circuit. Working on this panel would require exposing personnel to energized parts.

Therefore, the workspace in front of this panel does not meet the requirements of 110.26(a).
Additional Considerations

The workspace must be large enough to allow for safe access and operation of the equipment. The workspace must be free of obstructions or hazards.* Adequate lighting and ventilation must be provided.

Recommended Action:

For the panel with no disconnect device, a lockout/tagout procedure should be implemented to ensure that the circuit is de-energized before work is performed. Additionally, the panel should be labeled to indicate the presence of hazardous energy. Flag for review
