Question: I am having trouble with a project. The inspector wants me to move the BX that has been installed because it is next to the sprikler pipe. Is this in the code book?

Yes, this is in the code book. According to the National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 300.15(B), electrical wiring and equipment installed outdoors shall not be located within 18 inches of the ground or other surfaces likely to be wet or damp, unless it is protected from moisture in a suitable manner. This includes sprinkler pipes, which can leak or spray water, causing the electrical wiring to become wet or damp. Flag for review
