Question: Can not remember what the distance is from a hot tub disconnect to the hot tub edge, the panel is in sight of hot tub and if i could use the breaker in panel as disconnect. Thanks.

Distance from Hot Tub Disconnect to Hot Tub Edge

National Electrical Code (NEC): 5 feet (1.5 m)

Panel as a Disconnect

Yes, the breaker in the panel can be used as the disconnect if it meets the following criteria: It is readily accessible and within sight of the hot tub. It is clearly labeled as the hot tub disconnect. It is the only means of disconnecting the hot tub from the power source. It is rated for the amperage and voltage of the hot tub.

Additional Requirements:
The hot tub panel must be installed in a weatherproof enclosure if it is located outdoors. The disconnect must be located at least 1 foot (30 cm) above the floor or ground.* The disconnect must be lockable to prevent unauthorized access. Flag for review
