Question: Is anyone interested in communicating with me about our current electrical problems here in Costa Rica. We are getting exorbitant kilowatt readings after completing our wiring. We have done extensive trouble shooting but would appreciate any advice anyone has. Please contact me and I will send a complete discription of our layout here and what we have done to try to locate the problem.thanksa hammack in puerto viejo, costa rica
Sure, I can help you with this. Here are some tips for troubleshooting electrical problems
1.
Check your wiring. Make sure that all of your wires are properly connected and that there are no loose or damaged wires.2. Check your appliances. Unplug all of your appliances and then plug them back in one at a time. See if the problem goes away when you plug in a particular appliance.3. Check your circuit breaker panel. See if any of the circuit breakers have tripped. If so, reset them and see if the problem goes away.4. Call an electrician. If you have tried all of the above and you are still having problems, you should call an electrician to help you troubleshoot the problem.
Once you have found the problem, you can then take steps to fix it.Here are some additional resources that you may find helpful
