Question: When applying 240.92 (B), what OCPD clearing to normally to be assumed?I'm getting around 1 second, however if someone drags a generator up to the building I can imagine an increased clearing time due to the reduced short circuit current at the service which would heat up the tap conductors more according to 240.92 (B).

The assumed OCPD clearing time should normally be taken as 0.5 seconds for a location at the service equipment or as close to the service equipment as possible.However, if a generator is dragged up to the building and connected to the electrical service, the reduced short-circuit current at the service may result in an increased OCPD clearing time.
