Question: Does anyone have shelving in their van for 4' lamps? I am having to stock a large quantity of T8 and T12 lamps for service, and it is very difficult in a service van. Since it is time to replace my current van anyway, I am considering one of the Omnivan boxes, or some shelving in the rear of a cargo van (I don't know how much these Omnivans cost, so I may have to stick with the cargo van). I have searched all the threads dealing with vehicles, vans, and trucks, and I can't find anything concerning lamps.

I have a 2014 Sprinter 170" long and 144" high. I have the standard three shelves on each side, each about 24" wide and 14" high. Instead of vertical dividers I've got horizontal shelves about every 12". I carry about 200 4' bulbs, and separate them into multiple categories. The shelves are built with 5/8" plywood with poplar framing. I used a double layer of 1/2" plywood on the bottom shelf. The plywood in the middle and top shelves is supported by 3/4" plywood blocks at the front and back. The shelves are not very deep. I carry tools and materials on the same side of the van. I also have a ladder rack on the roof.I've not seen any Omnivans so I can't compare them to my Sprinter. My van is very cramped and can get messy quickly. But I like the four wheel drive and high top with a sleeping loft. Flag for review
