2020 NECArticle 422.15 Appliance Receptacle Outlets(A) Cord-and-Plug Connected Appliances> 1. General. All cord-and-plug connected appliances shall be provided with a receptacle outlet having the following characteristics:> a) Voltage. The voltage of the receptacle outlet shall correspond to the voltage of the appliance to be connected.> b) Current. The rating of the receptacle outlet shall be not less than the maximum ampacity required by the appliance.> c) Receptacle Type. Receptacle outlets provided for the following appliances shall be identified for the specific appliance connection as follows:> i) Clothes Dryers—NEMA 10-30R> ii) Cooking Appliances—NEMA 14-30R, NEMA 14-50R, or NEMA 14-60RArticle 440.11 Receptacle Outlets(B) Counter Tops> 1.
